LGIC Lab Grown Sapphire Grading

Grading the Sapphire from the Color, Clarity, Brilliance, Uniformity description and other aspects, and Transparency , Cut description.

This standard applies to blue sapphire grading, other colors sapphire grading can refer to the implementation of this standard.

Color Grading:

According to the chroma differences between blue sapphire,it is divided into five grades, deep blue(DB),vivid blue(VB),intense blue(IB),blue(B),light blue(LB).

Deep Blue:Reflected light dark blue, dark color;

Vivid Blue: Reflective light blue, full color rich; blue with a slight purple tone;

Intense Blue: Reflected light is dark blue, rich in color; blue with a slight purple tone;

Blue: Reflected light is moderately dense blue, moderate shade;

Light Blue: Light blue under reflected light, light color.

Business name: Royal blue and Cornflower Blue

Note: The corresponding trade name is "Royal Blue" when there is no slight purple stone in brilliant blue or dark blue;the trade name is "Cornflower Blue" when there is a slight purple stone in brilliant blue or dark blue.

Uniformity Description:

When observing the sapphire color from the table, if the color patches, stains or ribbons are observed, they should be described, such as "visible ribons" and so on.

Clarity Grading:

According to the clarity difference between blue sapphire, it is divided into four grades.The clarity grade is expressed in order from high to low, super pure(SP),pure(P),relatively pure(RP)

Brilliance Grading:

According to sapphire brilliance accounted for the proportion of the crown area and the color of brilliance, it's divided it into three grades excellent(EX), very good (VG), good (G).

Transparency Grading:

According to the transparency differences between blue sapphire, it's divided into three grades: bright(T1), relatively bright(T2), normal(T3).

Cut Grading:

According to cutting ratio, it's divided it into three grades excellent(EX), very good (VG), good (G)
